Dr. Jennifer Karp

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Jennifer Karp is a Clinical Psychologist with 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and parents. She is an Associate at the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (OICBT) who offers individual child and adolescent therapy to address a range of difficulties. Dr. Karp maintains a particular interest in working with clients suffering from anxiety conditions and OCD and is passionate about parent consultation and emotion coaching support. In addition to therapy, Dr. Karp conducts psycho-educational assessments with children and adolescents in order to evaluate learning disabilities, ADHD, and gifted status. She works collaboratively with children, youth, and parents in creating a warm, empathic and accepting environment in which to address presenting concerns from a strength-based perspective. She helps her clients to identify potential barriers that get in their way and supports them in realizing their true potential.
